Amanda looked up from the current list of up-to-date payments for classes. A movement outside the glass storefront caught her eye. She tilted her head to see a man coming up the sidewalk from the side where the picnic bench sat. Through the vertical blinds, she glimpsed a square face—a short, rugged beard and long, dark hair pulled into a man bun. Her breath fled from her lungs. Her body went from icy cold to flaming hot in the span of a millisecond. She dropped to the floor and slid under the counter, beneath the ledge where they put their purses and cell phones.

“What—” Beth peeked at the windows. Then she snapped her fingers at April and pointed at the stools.

April jumped into action. She pushed the stools in so they blocked Amanda. The bell attached to the door jingled as April removed the jacket she wore and draped it across the stools, creating a curtain to shield Amanda.

From a crack, Amanda watched Beth move to stand in front of the twins, who were in their walkers playing peacefully. “I’m sorry, but we’re going to be closing.” “I don’t give a shit. I’m here for Amanda.”

The sound of Damon’s voice had her heart beating even harder. That voice had haunted her nightmares, had come back to life in her memories. Beth cocked her head to the side. “Who? There’s no one by that name here.”

“Don’t bullshit me. I know she works here.”

His voice was closer now.

Death smells of macaroons.

Amelie was slumped over the kitchen table, face in a plate of meringues. Spearmint-green flakes stuck to her left cheek. Her glazed irises remained fixed upon a vase of spiky dahlias, cut and arranged by Grace that very morning. Every tangerine petal was bug and blemish free; my sister was well known locally for her green fingers.

My body sagged and my A level folders fell onto the floor.

‘About time, considering this is all your fault,’ said Grace, appearing from the pantry in a veil of chlorinated steam. She threw a ball of latex at me.

This was really happening.

I peeled on the gloves, unable to stop gawping at Amelie’s violet lips.

‘Would you believe it?’ continued Grace. ‘I ran out of black sacks. Had to nip out and get some more.’ She took a step closer towards me and lowered her voice to a whisper. ‘Where have you been?’

I reached into my tunic pocket for my phone. Grace cocked her head on one side so that her marmalade curls parted, revealing a tiny sliver of snowy hair against her scalp. She narrowed her eyes for a second then flapped her hands about her temples. ‘Never mind. You’re here now.’ She leaned forward and pecked the top of my forehead. ‘We’ve got lots to be getting on with. You can start by bagging her up. The packing tape is in the top drawer of the dresser.’

Grace wafted out of the room, her strappy sandals clicking across the hallway.

For some reason Amelie wasn’t wearing any shoes.

After I finished, I stared down at my handiwork; a black shiny parcel criss-crossed with brown tape. Grace stood there, leaning on the mop, her toe tapping to some hidden melody within her mind.

‘We’ll put her in the utility room for the mo.’ It was as though she was talking about an old hat-stand that was going to the charity shop.

It was the morning and Cassie couldn’t find her mermaid doll. Despite it being there last night, Myrtle had vanished from her bed. From the sound she was making, you would have thought her world was coming to an end.

Gil’s blonde hair was ruffled and there was a soft glow at the tips of his hollow cheekbones. He was simultaneously begging the girl to eat toast and marmite soldiers whilst tying her soft hair into a French plait.

Gil closed his eyes and took a deep breath in through his nose. ‘Em, would you be a sweetheart and have another scout around to see if you can find it? I’m never going to get her to school at this rate.’

I sipped my coffee. I had sacrificed my spoonful of cream and sugar to show Gil how cosmopolitan I was, but without them, the drink tasted of liquid charcoal and was making my empty stomach recoil. Gil opened his eyes wide, his soft mouth downturned at the sides. He was beautiful even when pushed to the edge of his patience. Cassie batted another piece of toast onto the floor. ‘Pretty please.’

I got to my feet and stretched, my spine giving a satisfactory click. ‘Cassie – you know what?’

The little girl immediately stopped her wailing and looked at me. Direct conversation with me was unusual; a novelty worth quietening down for. ‘Do you know what day it is today?’ I asked.

Cassie hiccupped and sniffed in rapid succession. Her big eyes were bright, her dark lashes glistening with tears. Cassie gave a small shake of her head. Behind her, I saw the tip of Gil’s tongue poking out whilst his brow furrowed as he ducked down to wrestle with the hair at the nape of her neck.

I folded my arms. ‘It’s a full moon tonight and, if you don’t shut up and do what Gil tells you to, the real Myrtle will hear about it.’ I tapped my foot against the polished oak floor. Cassie’s full lips were parted. ‘And,’ I continued, ‘if she does, she will be sure to stay on the bottom of the lake to avoid having to listen to your horrid caterwauling. Mermaids hate loud noises.’

QUESTION: Do you have a guilty pleasure?

ANSWER: Dark chocolate almonds. Five to six each day after lunch.

QUESTION: Who was your first celebrity crush?

ANSWER: Farrah Fawcett. I had a poster of her up in my shag-carpeted fort in the rafters of the garage. I even got in a fight with my brother one day when I caught him making out with the poster. I tried to clean it with Windex and ended up erasing Farrah’s mouth.

QUESTION: First car?

ANSWER: Lime green 1970 Chevy Nova with polyester seats that stuck to my legs in the summer.

“Surely, you can’t be serious.”

“I am serious—and don’t call me Shirley.”

QUESTION: Biggest fear?

ANSWER: Living without my wife.

ANSWER: This may sound crazy but some of my ideas start with just a title. The idea for my fourth novel came to me while in line at Starbucks. A woman reached over and smacked her husband on the arm and said, “Quit being so crotchety.” I smiled and thought Mr. Crotchety would make a great title for a book. Then I brainstormed the story and wrote it. Caramel, kettle, cheese or regular popcorn? Yes, please.

QUESTION: What’s on your pizza?

ANSWER: Pineapple and garlic.

QUESTION: Biggest pet peeve?

ANSWER: People who drive fast through residential neighborhoods.

Synopsis:

Delilah — I love my family. I really do. But having three older brothers and an overprotective father doesn’t make it easy to have a life. They’ve run off every guy I’ve ever tried to date. It’s time I made a life of my own, even if that means I have to leave home to do it. I never thought I’d end up in yet another town with a motorcycle club, or that I’d be working out of their clubhouse as a webcam girl. I enjoy the freedom, and the money. No one would ever believe I’m technically a virgin. I haven’t even been really, truly kissed much less done anything else with a guy before. When the club President, Titan, kissed me, then issued a challenge, how could I possibly refuse?

Titan — I no longer looked at the girls frequenting the clubhouse the same way I had before. Being a dad changed my perspective, especially since I had a daughter. I still had fun, but it had lost its appeal. Then she walked in. Too young. Too innocent. Until she asked to join the webcam girls. The thought of strange men watching her made my hands clench. It was safer if only I had access to the feed, or so I told myself. Really, I’m just being a possessive bastard. Delilah will be mine, whether she realizes it or not. One kiss is all it takes for me to know she belongs to me. When she’s taken, I know I’ll do whatever it takes to get her back, and I’ll bury anyone who’s hurt her. Delilah is mine, and I will kill to protect her.

WARNING: This book contains strong language, graphic sex and violence, and spanking. There are scenes some may find difficult to read. It also has a dog who’s too smart for his own good, a sweet yet sassy heroine, and a hero who knows there’s nothing more valuable than love and family.

Honoring Indigenous Peoples: 20 Recommended Reads #IndigenousPeoplesDay

To honor Indigenous Peoples’ Day on Monday, October 12, The New York Public Library’s librarians and curators have selected 20 books that might serve as an introduction to a rich and diverse heritage of fiction, nonfiction, history, poetry, memoir, and more by and about Indigenous peoples in the United States. The list includes established writers such as Louise Erdrich, N. Scott Momaday, and Joy Harjo as well as newer writers such as Tommy Orange, Stephen Graham Jones, and Jake Skeets.

For 125 years, the Library has collected, preserved, and made accessible to the public books, collections, and other materials that not only entertain and educate but offer readers a range of diverse perspectives on the world. This often means amplifying voices that have in the past been omitted, dismissed, suppressed, or forgotten by history, and ensuring that those voices are heard. The celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ Day and Columbus Day on the same day highlights, for many observers, the United States’ complex relationship and reckoning with its history, especially regarding the past treatment of Indigenous peoples.

INTERVIEW WITH EROTIC ROMANCE AUTHOR MARLEE WRAY

Natasha: Hi Marlee! Thank you for the interview. Can you tell our readers about yourself and how long have you been a writer?

Marlee: Hi, Natasha :) Thank you for inviting me to meet your readers! I’m a life-long reader and a long-time writer. Romance has always been a favorite genre, and, roughly six years ago, I began researching and writing erotic romances featuring people engaged in alternative lifestyles. As is the case with many writers, I was busy with my non-writing day job, so I didn’t reach a point where I was ready to be published until 2017.

Natasha: When it comes to writing, do you have a certain routine or writing process that allows the ideas to flow better?

Marlee: I’m flexible when it comes to process. An idea will come to me and I usually begin writing scenes right away, just to capture the essence of the story and the characters. Then there always seems to be a natural slowdown where I do more brainstorming, thinking about who the characters are and what they need. At that point, I often go back and change the early scenes I’ve written to reflect the new information I’ve discovered while brainstorming. And finally, with the plot worked out in my head, I start writing again.

Natasha: Congratulations on becoming a USA Today Bestselling author. What type of stories do you like to write and why?

Marlee: Thank you! I’ve been very fortunate to have had readers discover my books and propel me to a level of success that’s been unexpected. In terms of writing, I really love the dynamics of unconventional romances. The secretive nature of alternative lifestyles also really appeals to me, so that’s what I love to write about. My stories are erotic romances, with varying levels of kink.

Natasha: Can you tell our readers about your latest book? And how did you come up with the title?

Marlee: My latest story, Pursued, is an edgy urban romance told from alternating first-person points of view. The male lead character, “Anvil”, is part of a trio of dominant men who run a crime syndicate. He’s obsessed with the daughter of his former boss, a vindictive crime lord. Rachel, the heroine, has had her good intentions go awry; in the prologue, her actions trigger a violent confrontation that leads to Anvil getting shot. The main characters are wary of each other, but they’re on a romantic collision course that was inevitable.

The original title for the story was “Stalked” because there is an element of stalking in the way Anvil pursues Rachel. But my publishing team came up with Pursued as a possible title, and I felt that better captured what the story was about.

Natasha: If you could have one of your stories turned into a film? What story would that be and why?

Marlee: Held. I think it would make an interesting film because there’s a theater production at the opening, which would be really interesting visually. And in addition to being a dirty, sexy romance, it’s a taut crime thriller. (Pursued, my latest release, is actually the second installment in my erotic romantic suspense series about three close friends, Connor, Anvil, and Trick, who grew up together in the same rough neighborhood and all engage in BDSM lifestyles. Held is the 1st story in the series.)

Natasha: Are you like any of the characters that you write about and why?

Marlee: I’m like them in that I’m intensely loyal and curious. I also have a wild streak. ;)

Natasha: Besides writing, what do you enjoy doing on your spare time to relax?

Marlee: Reading and streaming shows are a great form of relaxation. I love to travel and have cocktail parties, too, but those are more effervescent pastimes!

Natasha: Can you share with our readers any future projects that you are working on?

Marlee: Yes, I’m currently working on two stories. The first of my current works in progress is Book 5 in my Owned & Shared science fiction romance series. (There are characters on other worlds who own human pets and many salacious scenarios ensue.) I’m also working on the 3rd book in the C Crue series. Two of the guys have had their stories (Connor in Held and Anvil in Pursued.) Now it’s Trick’s turn.

Natasha: How can our readers learn more about you and your books?

Marlee: I’d love for them to visit my website at https://www.marleewray.com and sign up for my newsletter so they can get 2 FREE stories that will allow them to sample my writing. If the stories don’t appeal to them, they can unsubscribe from my newsletter. But if they enjoy them and want more, they can stay on my email list where I’ll share information about myself, my new releases, and other authors and free stories.

Thanks again for having me as a Bare Back Magazine interview guest!

INTERVIEW WITH ROMANCE AND EROTICA AUTHOR KYLE CANON

Natasha: Hi Kyle! Thank you for the interview. Can you tell our readers about yourself and how you got started as a writer?

Kyle Canon: Hi - My big secret is I’ve always wanted to be an author. I even wrote a travel blog for a few years then decided to try and write a sci-fi novel. I worked on it for months but just didn’t feel like I was getting anywhere. Then I read something from one of my favorite authors on his blog page. He said when he hit writer’s block he changed topics and genres to get a fresh start. It gave me an idea.

My wife, Lilly, and I had been exploring nudism and been to several naturist resorts. We enjoyed the lifestyle. Lilly was also modeling for me, I did a lot of photography for my blogs and she modeled through college so it was a natural. We started with some very artistic nudes then gradually progressed to more erotic sets. The photos were popular and sold well online. We were even approached to do some couples shoots. That was a big step for us. We’d been to nudist resorts but this would be different. Lilly would be doing erotic sets with male and female models while I directed them for a shoot. It took us a while to get there and a lot of conversations about our comfort zones when it came to sexually touching someone else.

So, back to writing. As all of this was going on I decided to change genres and write a story loosely based on our lives and experiences. I approached it almost like a journal of how I felt photographing Lilly with another man or woman as well as our discussions about swinging. By the time I wrote the book we’d learned a lot as we swapped with some friends and were considering how much more we wanted to do. I had a pretty good perspective on the lifestyle as a newcomer and I wanted to present it in a positive light.

I published that first novel, The Photographer’s Story and was pleasantly surprised by how well it was received. Interesting fact, Lilly is the model on the cover. Since then I’ve written another two novels, all part of the series and I’m working on one more. I’ve also published several short stories that explore the lifestyle.

Natasha: How would you describe your style of writing?

Kyle Canon: Erotic/Romance for the thoughtful reader. I didn’t want to just write like the old Penthouse Forum columns, those were always so contrived. I wanted to tell a story with my books and novellas. I have a few themes that run through most of my books. I like writing about strong women who are equal partners in their sexual experience. My couples are ‘normal’ people at various points of their discovery of swinging. They work through a process of discovery. Finally, their conversations are real, as real as I can make them and as I said, they reflect some of what Lilly and I have experienced.

All that said, I do write very explicit sex scenes. I consider that an integral part of any of my stories and don’t hold back. One of my favorite reviews on a book said that the reader had to stop every few pages for a breath. Loved it.

Natasha: When it comes to writing, do you have a certain routine or writing process that allows the ideas to flow better?

Kyle Canon: So much depends on what motivates me for a particular project. I usually take a few weeks mapping out an idea in my head. I may make some notes about the concept but generally just let it develop until I feel like I have to get my thoughts in print.

Once I start writing, I can sit for hours and get the basics written out. Then, I come back to it dozens of times adding dialogue and fixing grammatical issues. A few times I’ve completely rewritten whole chapters that just didn’t feel right. My final step is to have Lilly read a draft and give me some feedback. I know I’m onto something when that feedback leads to great sex.

Natasha: Let’s talk about your latest book, can you talk about how you came up with the title and a little about the story?

Kyle Canon: The Resort is my latest project due for publication on August 25. This is a concept that has been in the works for almost two years. The idea came from a conversation Lilly and I were having as we lay poolside at a nudist resort. I hate to give too many spoilers but the basic idea is that a very well endowed and friendly neighbor meets a couple who’ve been thinking about swinging for a few years. It is a short story but has a good amount of really hot sex. I knew it was good when Lilly finished reading it.

Natasha: What do you like about writing erotic stories?

Kyle Canon: It is a fun and daring way for me to explore some of our fantasies as well as reality. I also love the response from readers. One couple wrote to me, after leaving a glowing review, that my books helped them talk about their needs as a couple. That was flattering beyond belief.

I also want to leave a message that there is nothing wrong with sex or being attracted to someone who isn’t a spouse or significant other. That sort of thing is normal and healthy. Think #sexpositive.

Natasha: Who are the people who have been the most influential to you either personally or professionally? And why?

Kyle Canon: I always credit Lilly as my muse. She has been supportive and encouraging throughout my writing career. There have also been many friends we’ve met through resorts or my photography who’ve also encouraged me and been inspirations.

One, gave me a line I use in several books. She said people need to separate making love from sex. Sex is really just the ultimate massage while making love is something you do with a lifepartner. I know many who would argue the basic points there. For example, what if you love more than one person? Does that mean you are making love to both, or more? Bottom line, it is what you make of it.

Natasha: Let’s talk about your podcast. How long have you had your own podcast and what kind of content is featured?

Kyle Canon: As I am writing this our podcast is still in development. It is called Speak Seductively and will be focused on my books and things we’ve discovered about ourselves as we got into the lifestyle. Lilly and I have been doing live Twitter broadcasts, sort of along the same lines.

I also hope to interview erotic authors, romance authors and swingers to bring in some variety. We have four podcasts already recorded but want some in the library before we start our broadcasts. The first should be in late September.

Natasha: Besides writing, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time to relax?

Kyle Canon: I love the outdoors. Lilly and I camp and hike quite a bit. I’m also an avid scuba diver and have been diving for years. Some of my favorite locations are in the Keys but I’ve been diving in the Caymans and Hawaii. A dream of mine is to do the Great Barrier Reef.

Natasha: Can you share with our readers any future projects that you are working are?

Kyle Canon: Yes. I have a project I am very excited about. A few years ago Lilly dared me to write a short story on a holiday theme. I did, Naughty Christmas Cards, it was a lot of fun and since then I’ve used the holiday theme in a few short stories.

My current project ties into another halliday theme story. Last Halloween I wrote an erotic thriller called - Amber’s Erotic Possession. It was a huge hit, especially Lilly’s narration for the audible version. I’ve been writing a sequel which is nearly finished and should be ready for a mid-October release. The title is still a work in progress.

Natasha: How can our readers learn more about you and your books?

Kyle Canon: Thanks for asking. Right now all my books are published on Amazon and offered free if you have Kindle Unlimited. https://www.amazon.com/by-Kyle-Canon/e/B07481T3S5/ref=ntt_dp_epwbk_0

Author Interview with: BOB MCNEIL

Natasha: Hi, Bob, thank you for the interview. Can you tell our readers about yourself and how long have you been a writer?

Bob: First of all, I am grateful for this conversation with a publisher I respect, namely, you, Natasha. Now, about your initial question, like most artists, I am a self-absorbed individual who is obsessed with his craft. Don’t get me wrong. Deeply, from each cell to my soul, I care about people. Therefore, I am concerned about the world and its struggles. Nonetheless, upon waking until I sleep, my mind is preoccupied with creative expression through words and images.

Answering your next question about writing is difficult. Back in the 1600s, after meeting a bearded guy named Edward de Vere, aka Will Shakespeare, I began my writing career. OK, let me give you a serious answer. No joke, in the first grade, I wrote poems and stories. By age 21, I received my first honorarium for a story. All these years later, I still follow my Muse.

Natasha: When it comes to writing, do you have a certain routine or writing process that allows the ideas to flow better?

Bob: Writers are not automatons or cogs in an assembly line. So, following a strict schedule for the creative process is more detrimental than healthy. Such adherence to a timetable produces formulaic work. Creative ideas never follow an employment schedule. I do, however, have one criterion. Quite simply, once the dilatory details of my daily life conclude, I write either a little or a lot. Although this next analogy seems trite, it is true. No different than a muscle, the writing process requires exercise.

Ideas move with the fluidity of streams when I listen to music. Initially, I seek familiar songs with clever lyrics. Groups such as TV on the Radio and Gnarls Barclay always endear themselves to my ears. Then, when my mental shuttlecraft gets fueled up, I put on instrumental music.

Natasha: Back in October 2019, you posted a call for submissions. Can you tell us about that book and what it is about?

Bob: Throughout the years, I read numerous poems about young love. In stark contrast, verses about middle-aged people or senior citizens having relationships were as rare as UFO sightings. Realizing that, I wanted to cull poems about the aging process. Upon working on the anthology, I requested explicit depictions of an older person's existence.

Presently, because of the recent pandemic and its effect on the aged, the anthology, Lyrics of Mature Hearts, resonates with renewed importance. All of the contributors are venerable people. Their poems are testaments to wisdom and strength.

Natasha: What kind of stories do you enjoy writing? Bob: Of all your questions, this one is challenging. By nature, I am a multifarious person. I create sociopolitical stories or poems as well as escapist sci-fi, horror, and erotica. Each genre is a different train for my trip through self-expression. I transfer a lot.

Natasha: If you could have one of your stories turned into a film, what story would that be and why?

Bob: Movie theaters in New York City raised me. On weekends, when I was in public school, my high-school-aged brother took me matinees. There, in the front row, with a bag composed of various snacks, my eyes married the images on the screen each time. For somewhere under five dollars, I saw at least three films and a cartoon.

Consequently, because of that inundation, I write like a cinephile. Deep within my cerebrum's omnium gatherum, screenplays play out from the introduction to the denouement. As vivid as a mirror, I see each character and scene long before my fingers type on my laptop. Making readers perceive these images is crucial. Obsessively, I want my descriptions in a story to give the blind a sense of a sunrise and the deaf an understanding of symphonies.

Filmed on the set in my fantasies, each of my stories is an embryonic movie. So, someone smarter than I, who has a better sense of the medium, should choose one of my tales. I cannot make such a decision.

Natasha: Besides writing, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time to relax?

Bob: Nerd alert: Exhibiting the devotion that zealots feel about worship, I watch Jeopardy. Furthermore, I always traverse prose and verses in books. And once again, classic movies to flicks about superheroes provide a sojourn from my existence.

Natasha: Can you share with our readers any future projects that you are working on?

Bob: Each day, as long as I have a danceable beat in my chest, there will always be a future project. However, in this world, my humble existence is as needed as an airplane for a bird, or a sailboat for a fish. Nonetheless, creativity gives my blood a reason to flow.

Natasha: How can our readers learn more about you and your books?

Bob: Of all my recent projects, I am proudest of Lyrics of Mature Hearts. The anthology is available on this site: https://www.amazon.com/Lyrics-Mature-Hearts-Poetry-Anthology/dp/1708365354/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=lyrics+of+mature+hearts&qid=1588199472&sr=8-1. Before the conclusion of this interview, I must praise you, Natasha. Consistently, you maintain a publication that discusses adult relationships. While conservatives and reactionaries mute voices, Bare Back Magazine turns up the volume and lets everyone hear uncensored voices.

♥️𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐏𝐓♥️

I'm not dead, but I should be.

I spent five years of my life running.

Some people run away and never really know why. They just go, never looking back, never thinking about the past. They write it off as if it never happened.

But I know why I ran, I saw it every time I looked in the mirror or heard a baby cry.

It was always there, replaying inside my head when my eyes closed, when there was nothing but silence surrounding me. There was no escaping those memories. No way to erase them from my mind or banish them from my heart.

My only solace was having the power to numb it. That was all I could do.

Until I couldn't anymore.

I've wanted to tell my story for a really long time now, with the hope that maybe it could give other girls, just like me, the chance to see that life doesn't have to be a certain way. It doesn't matter how deep the hole is, you can always climb out.

It's never too late, not unless it's your very last breath, and even then I'd still say keep on fighting. Fight for more air, fight for what's yours; fight for the right to keep going.

What you go through doesn't define you, it doesn't have to follow you around like a giant black cloud. All of it—it only makes you stronger.

I'm stronger now than I've ever been, but for some reason, I still can't find the strength I need to tell my story so people can hear it. I can't utter it out loud—shit, I can't even whisper what's inside my head.

But writing it, that's different.

When your voice isn't strong enough to float through the air so others can hear you, what do you do?

Do you stop talking?

Do you shy away from using your lips and trade it for silence?

No.

You transfer your thoughts and words into long strokes of ink, so your voice will last forever. . . You will last forever.

My story isn't for the weak, it's not going to fill you with so much joy your heart will explode. What I can tell you is that I got my happily ever after, I just needed a hero to show me I had to work for it.

INTERVIEW WITH EROTICA AUTHOR: JC WINCHESTER

Natasha: Hi JC! Thank you for the interview. Can you tell our readers about yourself and when did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

JC: I’ve enjoyed writing for fun since I was in high school. I had a creative writing course that sparked the chance to write simply for the joy in it. Over the years I dabbled in writing but never really committed. I used to wander on a writer’s site, never submitted work, just enjoyed hanging out on the forums. One of my friends there challenged me to join in a year long contest and that brought out my competitive nature. The more I wrote, the more I got into the community, and became hooked with it.

Natasha: When it comes to writing, do you have a certain routine or writing process that allows the ideas to flow better?

JC: The more I write, the more I find I do better in quiet environments. I can write just about anywhere or at any time, so long as the environment is quiet. Typically I tend to let ideas float around for a little while, working out the edges so when I finally get some quiet time I’m able to just let it flow out.

Natasha: What kind of stories do you write and what does your family think of your writing?

JC: I write erotica, typically impregnation, pregnancy fetish, and reverse harem. My wife is rather supportive of my work and occasionally enjoys indulging in reading the material or helping me to figure out how a scene should look.

Natasha: Let’s talk about your latest book. Can you talk about how you came up with the title and a little about the story?

JC: My latest book is Teacher Dreams, it was written to be a part of a summer anthology called Summer Sessions. We are all former or current teachers and we wrote our stories with the theme of teachers during the summer. Teacher Dreams is a story about two young women who have had an on-again, off-again relationship since high school. Now that college is over, they’ve reunited. A chance meeting at the gym leaves them with the chance to live out one of their high school fantasies, bedding their physics teacher. Natasha: How many stories have you written so far? And what do you want readers to take away from your work?

JC: I have 47 books published and many dozens more that I wrote prior to publishing to hone my craft. My takeaway would be that sex can be a beautiful thing between consenting partners of all sexualities. The characters I write can take any form (my stories include characters who are futa, trans, crossdressers, bi, and lesbian) with various motivations but what brings them together is the joy that they encounter with each other and that brief moment of pure pleasure that one can bring to another.

Natasha: Besides writing, what do you enjoy doing on your spare time to relax?

JC: I do a lot of volunteer work in disaster areas. Love to go hiking, camping, and fishing. We also just installed a wood stove in our house, so I’ve been enjoying gathering and splitting wood to dry out for the stove.

Natasha: Can you share with our readers any future projects that you are working on?

JC: I am currently working on the 4th installment in the Project Repopulate series. This series takes place in a world where a third World War has occurred and consequently wiped out a large portion of the population. In a desperate bid to rebuild their population and regain control of the world’s economy, Congress has authorized Project Repopulate. In return for putting careers and school aside to have children, participants will have schooling, housing, and a stipend from the government.

Levi is a WW3 veteran who just wishes to finish off his degree, take a decent position in a tech company, keep his head down, and live out the rest of his life. However, one of the school’s deans has other plans for the former infantryman.

Natasha: How can our readers learn more about you and your books?

JC: I solely publish on Amazon and can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/JC-Winchester/e/B00R1H6XFQ

I am also on:

Twitter: https://twitter.com/JagFarlane

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100009581774098

About JC Winchester: JC Winchester grew up reading just about anything he could get his hands on, from cereal boxes to the Hardy Boys. He loves most forms of fiction, particularly fantasy and military sci-fi, with some of his favorite authors including John Ringo, Robert Jordan, and Tom Clancy.

After several years in the Navy he enrolled in a community college and eventually to a university in the mountains. There he settled down, savoring a life not filled with the noises of the city but instead the sounds of bellowing cattle.

When not writing he can usually be found taking care of the horses on his place, riding, hiking, fishing, or the never ending task of splitting firewood.

Shameless Sex Digs Deep into Breakups During COVID-19

(Los Angeles, CA / June 19, 2020) -- Shameless Sex Podcast hosts April Lampert and Amy Baldwin discuss the crushing stress of relationship collapse, particularly during the coronavirus lockdown, on their latest podcast episode, ‘Breakups and Heartache’, at Shamelesssex.com.

The duo is encouraging the suddenly-single to embrace their fears, speak up when they need help - calling on good friends to be there while going through the motions of grief, sadness and anger - and realize that being alone in 2020 isn’t such a bad idea after all.

“After facing a recent breakup, April and I were motivated to devote an episode to this personally painful subject, where I openly share my heartache and vulnerability while offering tips for listeners who may be going through the same,” said Baldwin, who noted that the combination of “a good support system, nature, meditation and tequila” helped her tremendously.

“We’ve already received countless responses from listeners thanking us and/or saying they are in the middle of it as well. It seems like it’s in the air, and it’s extra challenging considering what we are all going through during COVID 19.”

Baldwin added that this uncertain period in time is “a golden opportunity to highlight how to navigate breakups; a lot of folks are miserable in their relationships, but are too scared to leave because they are afraid dating will be too hard during COVID. Well, it’s summer and summer is the perfect time to get out of those dead-end relationships.”

Each week, Shameless Sex Podcast draws in over 500,000 downloads and 20,000 listens via iTunes.com and ShamelessSex.com, as well as over 500K listens on Spotify, Google Play, Stitcher, YouTube and other apps in over 75 countries.

INTERVIEW WITH JESSICA G. RABBIT

Natasha: Hi Jessica! Thank you for the interview. Can you tell our readers about yourself and how you got started as a writer?

Jessica: I am Jessica G. Rabbit. I am an adult Film actress, Erotica writer, Podcaster, and an advocate for US Sex Workers.

I have been writing since the age of 11. Writing was a creative outlet I used as well as an escape from the grief in my life. At that time I was struggling with the loss of a sibling, and had been diagnosed with anorexia nervosa. Music, movies and creative writing essentially saved my life. At The age of 14, I was inspired by the 1995 movie Basketball diaries to write poetry. Who can resist a young Leo pouring out his feelings? Not me. Because of that I had my first published work.

Natasha: How would you describe your style of writing?

Jessica: I describe my writing style as explicit and delicious. Great dialogue and steamy sex scenes.

Natasha: When it comes to writing, do you have a certain routine or writing process that allows the ideas to flow better?

Jessica: I always write in a stylish journal first my first twenty chapters. I enjoy writing at night. For me my life slows down and I can really write with no interruption and focus my time and attention on the flow of the story and fresh from my mind onto paper. I usually wait a few days before chapter proofing. That helps me correct any dialogue or spelling.

Natasha: Let’s talk about your latest book. Can you talk about how you came up with the title and a little about the story?

Jessica: This story is the sequel to a book I have previously written and published in 2018 called; The Return of Maleficent.

In that story, Sleeping Beauty's nemesis, Maleficent is resurrected by the three 'Good Fairies' to end the sleeping curse that is once more on the loose. Their combined magic proved to be too strong and ended up turning Maleficent from the dark Queen of Magic into the beautiful young woman she once was before she cursed the world and swore her revenge upon it.

I hoped by writing Medusa: The Awakening, it also makes you ponder about the strong influence the #metoo movement would have had on these women and other women's lives. When Medusa had been violated would she have had to suffer so cruelly at the hands of the gods? What if Maleficent hadn't had to turn evil and instead, was just a normal girl, living a quiet, peaceful life?

I hope through these books I can at least try to give them a different narrative. I hope we all can see that if these 'villains' can have happy endings then we, as every day people should at least try and do the same.

Natasha: Are you like any of the characters that you write about? And why?

Jessica: Yes. I think all my characters have a central theme, being self-love and following their hearts. I am definitely like them in that sense. I follow my gut and my heart and it has always led me to love.

Natasha: What do you like about writing erotic stories?

Jessica: I enjoy the Freedom it gives. The dialogue. The characters. The sets. All of it can be whatever you want.

Natasha: Could you see any of your books turned into a film? Which one(s) and why?

Jessica: Yes. The Bet-Everyone loves a steamy look into the sex life of a beautiful adult film star. Closing Costs-Everyone loves a steamy Love Triangle with a dramatic twist. Jewel of Humanity- Everyone loves to be swept away in an otherworldly action -packed love story. Medusa: The Awakening- It’s never been done and the story illuminates the shrouded truth of it. Ugly Duckling- Everyone loves a homely girl turned beautiful love story.

Natasha: Besides writing, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time to relax?

Jessica: In my spare time, besides writing, I enjoy going to museums. When I can’t do that. I enjoy cooking for my family.

Natasha: Can you share with our readers any future projects that you are working on?

Jessica: I am currently working on three books. I know! I am also working with Amazon to get my books on Amazon Audible.

Natasha: How can our readers learn more about you and your books?

Jessica: You can follow me on Twitter: @myownlilcorner.

WORDS OF LOVE From the Brownings and Beyond by Bob McNeil

WORDS OF LOVE

From the Brownings and Beyond by Bob McNeil

(Featured Poet Introduction at the New York Browning Society, 2019)

Of all the subjects at a writer's disposal, love is perhaps the most popular. Quite amazingly, in defiance to wars, famine, economic strife, and this world's ravenous necrogenic appetite, the topic of love endures. Again, I say, this world literary feeds on death. And, yet, love inspires both professional writers and dilettantes. From school children to scholars, love is a favored premise in verses.

It is my modest belief that a poet cannot write a profound composition about love until he or she experiences the hardships of pain, rejection, and loneliness that the world offers. For it is thru abject conditions writers appreciate the divine greatness of Eros, Philia, Ludus, Agape, Pragma, Philautia, and Storge. Allow me to elucidate. Try to imagine obscene wealth. Gifted with every lavish resource in the world, you would grow weary due to the opulence of it all. Let's say that with the wealth, you could eat anything you want at any time you want. After a while, you would no longer appreciate the flavor or texture of the meal. The meal would become quite banal. It would be soporific, indeed. This, too, could be said of love. If your every desire is satisfied all the time, you will learn to take it for granted. Now and then, or perhaps more often than that, you hear couples use a phrase like this: He or she does not appreciate me anymore. Alas, to quote Shakespeare: "Ay, there's the rub."

That aforesaid thought brings me to my point. The reason why the poems and letters of Robert and Elizabeth Browning effectively express love so well is because of the fact that they endured loneliness and pain in their lives. Their connubial union was fate's gift after years of anguish. Elizabeth's illness and her father's disapproval of her romantic relationship did not impede her love for Robert. Built on affection, respect, and words, the Brownings created a relationship for the ages.

Throughout history, as we all know, some of the greatest loves endured emotional blizzards, hurricanes of hostility, and a tsunami of sentiments. Somehow, in spite of the onslaught of trepidations, love remained undaunted. Today, love poetry still communicates by telling us, with each word, despite environmental, racial, and terroristic problems, there is still human warmth. Even in a world of inexhaustible unpleasantness, there is till the beauty of love. This point was not lost on the Brownings, and it should not be lost on us, either.
